2025 KW3

It was a rollercoaster of a week. Carrying over the illness of the previous day, it got somewhat worse, and I had to go to the doctors. Coincidentally, I had scheduled a few meetings for the time of my appointment, but I was able to manage. Sitting in the car and trying to negotiate a deal whilst waiting to go see a doctor was not on my bingo card for 2025, but there I was. I got 3 days off and informed the team, but I was not able to keep off the computer. Tickets being raised left, right and centre; I just had to do something. I did feel better during the day, but the headaches and runny nose didn't ease up.

On Tuesday, it did tend to get better, and I knew it was the only opportunity I had, so I drove to HH to pick up the new wheels. The last 10km was a nice countryside road on the Gauerter Hauptdeich along the Elbe river. It was calming, although I couldn't see the river. I picked the tires up and decided to stay with a friend before I drove back home. I got the tires changed the next day, but the Centering rings (Zentrierring auf Deutsch) were not a match. It was mounted, but I was told to not go for long drives on the Autobahn. They also gave me a size I should order online. Thanks to Bezo's company, I got them the next day and I went to the workshop after COB, but the technician seems to have gotten it wrong. That was okay, but what I found silly was he tore open the packaging, and I was unable to send the item back. We checked the measurements again, and I was given a new set of sizes to buy. I ordered that, but I also ordered a bigger size because when checking the documentation, I noticed it was different to what was measured. I didn't want to have to keep going back there and worst case scenario was I had to send it back (not optimal for the environment, but I just wanted my car fixed). You could imagine how glad I was to see that the rings I ordered based on my own research were the ones that fit. I didn't gloat (although I made a fist bump internally) and just happy to have the car ready. The rims really look nice and I am grateful to my Lord for blessing me with them.

Saturday I did the Hyrox class and believe me, some exercises are simple to the eye, but when combined, are a nightmare. 20 OH Press, 40 (skier swings, push press, front squats and reverse lunges) done with a pair of 15kg dumbbells within a TC of 12 mins killed me. I still have the pains as I type this. I was in HH for a game on Sunday. The fox in the box was caged and not given free rein, but it was a pleasure to spend some time with the Home group.

49646 steps in total with Tuesday being the highest with 8779. A complete drop from the previous week, but I can excuse myself due to the illness. Next week, we go stronger.

Over and out!
